“We have long and friendly relations with the committee. Many issues for our citizens were resolved thanks to its deputies with the support of the “United Russia” faction and the State Duma as a whole. But some of the issues are still being resolved. And we are confident that we will be able to resolve these issues through interaction with our colleagues. We know that you have a rich experience of work as the head of the city of Orenburg and as a parliamentarian. This experience is very valuable and important for us,” - stressed Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Supreme Soviet.

The meeting discussed Russian investments in the economy of Pridnestrovie, pensions, the work of the consular post of Russia. In particular, about the replacement of expired passports.

“I was very pleased that there is such a concern for people - those who live in the PMR with a Russian passport. This is really a problem that we must first solve in Russia, considering that these are citizens of the Russian Federation," - said Yuri Mishcheryakov. He stressed that in the 5 years that he worked in the State Duma Committee, there has rarely been such a week that the issue of Pridnestrovie and the problems that exist in the republic has not been raised.

“The main issue is youth. How to keep the youth busy so that there is no outflow of the republic. In order to do this, we also need to amend some Russian laws. So that the guys don't leave. These are the issues that are in the public eye of the Pridnestrovie residents, which Russia and Pridnestrovie need to jointly solve,” - stressed Yuri Mishcheryakov.

The meeting discussed issues of interaction and cooperation within the International Assembly of Capitals and Major Cities of the CIS countries. Yuri Mishcheryakov has been the first vice-president of this organization for 21 years. Tiraspol, as the capital of Pridnestrovie, is included in this organization. It is a platform where city leaders can exchange experiences. Yuri Mishcheryakov represents another large organization - the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. He came to Tiraspol with an order from the Secretary General of the organization to sign an agreement on cooperation with the republic.

“I think that Pridnestrovie should be brought to the international level so that Europe, Asia and all over the world were informed about the situation in the republic. There are good and kind intentions, I brought the agreement. If there is an opportunity, we will certainly discuss this issue with the President,” - he said.
