Online Meeting of Heads of Representative Offices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Russia

The participants of the event discussed plans for 2020 and the most interesting projects aimed at the development of the Eurasian integration. The video conference was organized by the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

“The Assembly, like the whole world now, is building a new system of working communications. Therefore, such working meetings to discuss key issues with the pool of our Representative offices will be held regularly in the online format,”- said Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

At present, the Representative offices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Russia are registered in five regions: in the Republic of Bashkortostan, in the Leningrad, Sverdlovsk and Kaluga Regions, and in Sevastopol. Each unit has extensive international contacts and experience. Representative offices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly work closely with Serbia, China, Bulgaria, Armenia, Kazakhstan and other countries.

Among the key tasks of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly are the support to state, private and public organizations of the Eurasian countries in establishing and developing comprehensive mutually beneficial ties, as well as the international promotion of the region and the involvement of a wide range of people in these processes.

The Representations’ projects are aimed at strengthening trust and friendship between peoples, expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, developing peacekeeping and Eurasian integration processes. Activities carried out by the Representative offices are taken into account in the preparation of the annual Activity plan of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

  • PALAMARCHUK Yuri Anatolyevich, Head of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Leningrad Region;
  • PLYASUNOVA Marina Yurievna, Head of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Sverdlovsk Region;
  • TRAPEZNIKOV Dmitry Vasilyevich, Executive Secretary of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, headed by NAZAROV Andrey Gennadievich the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
