Online Events of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for the UNESCO International Mother Language Day in 2021 reached more than 18 Thousand People

Online events of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly", timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day 2021, for the first time were held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and covered more than 18 thousand people. Well-known public figures, politicians, experts, as well as young people, children and their parents from many countries of Eurasia attended the events.

On February 19, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly held a live broadcast of the International Expert Roundtable "Topical Issues of Preserving Linguistic Diversity" on Facebook. The event was held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. The round table was attended by 21 experts from 10 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria. Great Britain, Vietnam, Spain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, France. It reached the online audience of more than 2 thousand.

On February 21, the International Mother Language Day, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly held a live broadcast of the online marathon "Eurasian Languages Symphony" on YouTube. The marathon was broadcast for 7 hours, but the time difference did not stop viewers from different countries of Eurasia, from Portugal to Japan. They watched greetings, songs, poems and fairy tales in their native languages.

More than 18 thousand viewers - such a wide coverage became possible thanks to the participants and information partners of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, modern technologies and online broadcasts. Informational support for the live broadcast of the "Eurasian Languages Symphony" marathon on YouTube was provided by: the strategic partner of the Assembly, the "Big Asia" media resource, the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia and the information portal ATOM (Autonomous Tatar Associations of the World). On February 21, more than 10 thousand of its visitors were able to watch the broadcast of famous Tatar performers by going to the main page of the portal of the Autonomous Tatar Associations of the World.
