In Bashkortostan, on the initiative of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), supported by the Ufimskiye Vedomosti newspaper, the Ufa magazine, and the Elio pizzeria-trattoria, an information project “Honest Dialogue” was launched. In the format of a discussion, representatives of state authorities and local self-government bodies of Bashkortostan communicate with representatives of the public and business on topical issues.
The discussions are moderated by Vladimir Savichev, Candidate of Political Sciences, Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Correspondents from Moskovsky Komsomolets, Respublika Bashkortostan, Rossiyskaya Gazeta also joined the project.
The first breakfast discussion took place on December 7, 2022. The project’s guests were the Chairman of the Council for Human Rights and the Development of Civil Society Institutions under the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Zulfiya Gaysina, as well as members of the Public Council of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan Elio Cappiello and Andrea Bettoni.
They discussed the effectiveness of human rights activities in Bashkortostan, the prospects for the development of this area, what "pain" points business and citizens have today, how successfully they are being resolved in the republic. The discussion also touched upon issues of protecting the rights of foreign citizens living in the republic.
