Molodezhnaya Gazeta: Andrey Nazarov participated in the General Council meeting of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly

On February 11, Andrey Nazarov, Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Head of the Regional Representation of the Assembly, took part in the extended General Council meeting of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The meeting discussed the results of the Assembly activities for 2021 and outlined plans for 2022. Important organizational issues and the signing of cooperation agreements with new partners were also considered.

The Secretary General of the Assembly Andrey Belyaninov thanked the members of the General Council and the Assembly for their effective work in 2021. The Assembly is registered as a candidate for the UNESCO Peace Prize.

According to the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat Svetlana Smirnova, today the Assembly already includes 800 representatives of non-governmental organizations from 45 countries. The Supreme Advisory Council and the Media Council have been established. The Assembly implements large-scale projects - "Immortal Memory", "WON TOGETHER", "EURASIA KIDS", etc.

Andrey Nazarov thanked the leadership of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for the comprehensive support of the Bashkortostan Representation. He noted that 2021 ended with good results for the republican division. 25 representatives of the largest business associations, trade unions, public and sports organizations work as part of the Assembly in Bashkortostan.

- Now we actively work in the capital - Ufa. But we plan to gradually involve the districts and cities of the republic in our work, - Andrey Nazarov emphasized.

In 2021, profile committees were also established: for the support and development of industry, for cooperation with Italy, and for the development of spiritual culture, literature and art.

Members of the Representative Office were engaged in volunteer and educational work, were involved in election campaigns, the All-Russian Population Census-2021. In 2022, events will be aimed at international and business cooperation, exchange of experience and information in the tourism, culture, education, sports, as well as in the commercial and industrial environment, including exports, imports, finance, investments and innovations.

As Andrei Nazarov emphasized, Bashkiria is ready to receive an international delegation in 2022 as part of the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the organizing committee has already been formed.

- A lot of preparatory work has been done. All we have to do is set a specific date and look forward to meeting in the hospitable land of Bashkortostan, - he stressed.

It was decided to schedule this large-scale event for the spring of 2022.
