On the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Vice-Premier of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Head of Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic Andrei Nazarov presented the project “Electronic Book of Memory”.

The project is a unique IT program that allows everyone to find on the site www.pomnimrb.ru  burial places of their loved ones. The main purpose of creating an “E-Book of Memory”, in addition to searching for the burial place of a loved one, is to help form a family archive, lineage in the user's personal account.

On the site you can find information about cemeteries of the Republic of Bashkortostan, about famous people buried in them, participants of the war. The ideological mastermind of the project is a member of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a Deputy of the Ufa City Council, Ruslan Kinzikeev.

“Thousands of burial sites of the Great Patriotic war participants remain unknown and unaccounted for; they are lost and not identified in ordinary city cemeteries in Russia, and not on battlefields. For example, who today knows the biographies of all the heroes and burial places of soldiers of the war with Napoleon? The same thing will happen to veterans of the Great Patriotic war if we do not find and describe all the graves of war veterans,”- said Ruslan Kinzikeyev.

Enthusiasts, volunteers, employees of the Municipal budget institution “Combine of Specialized Service of Ufa”, the local branch of the all-Russian Youth Military-Patriotic Movement “Unarmia”, regional branch of all-Russian Public Movement to Perpetuate the Memory of Victims at Protection of Fatherland “Search Movement of Russia” in the Republic of Bashkortostan held a huge work on the search, identification of burial sites and enter the information on the website www.pomnimrb.ru.
