On July 16 took place the First Meeting of the new Board of the General Council

On July 16, the first meeting of the new Board of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, elected on July 9 at the General Assembly, took place.

Representatives of non-governmental public organizations from 33 countries were elected to the General Council: Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Benin, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Egypt, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Finland, France, Montenegro, Czech Republic, and Switzerland.

The first meeting of the General Council, a permanent collegial executive body for managing the activities of the Assembly, was chaired by Andrey Yuryevich Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The following members of the General Council were elected as Deputy Secretaries General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly:

  • Ageev Alexander Ivanovich, Chairman of the Expert Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, General Director of the Institute for Economic Strategies;
  • Zeyni Rauf Khurshud oglu, President of the National Forum of Azerbaijan NGOs;
  • Karpov Anatoly Evgenievich,, President of the International Union of Charitable and Humanitarian Public Associations “Soviet Peace Fund”;
  • Rafael Jiménez Castañeda, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, University of Cadiz;
  • Konovalenko Sergey Aleksndrovich, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
  • Korolev Stanislav Lvovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Analytical Center;
  • Mamytov Tokon Bolotbekovich, Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Mankevich Vitaly Vikentievich, President of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs;
  • Mishcheryakov Yuri Nikolaevich, First Vice-President of the International Assembly of Capitals and Major Cities;
  • Mukhamedzhanov Tolegen Mukhamedzhanovich, President of the International Association "Peace through Culture", President of the International Public Fund "Congress of Spiritual Accord", Co-Chairman of the World Forum of Spiritual Culture;
  • Nazarov Andrey Gennadievich, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Head of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation;
  • Ndengwe François, Chairman of the African Advisory Board;
  • Petrova Yulia Igorevna, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for international cooperation;
  • Rabinovich Alexander Leonidovich, Consul General of the International rating agency SHA-International Ratings Center in the USA, Canada, Europe and the European Union;
  • Ruzin Valery Davydovich, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for cooperation in the Eurasian media space, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio;
  • Taran Eduard Anatolyevich, President of the RATM Holding, President of the Novosibirsk Regional Football Federation;
  • Fedorov Mikhail Vasilyevich, President of the Coordinating Council of the Center for European and Asian Studies;
  • To Ngoc Hung, President of Hoa Binh University;
  • Chety Vladimir Vladislavovich, President of the World Association of Graduates of Russian (Soviet) Universities;
  • Sharenkova Svetlana Stefanova, Chairman of the Forum "Bulgaria-Russia";
  • Didier Chaudesaygues, President of the Russian-French Economic Chamber.

Ochirova Alexandra Vasilievna, member of the State Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Goodwill Ambassador to UNESCO, was elected Co-Chair of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

As has been mandated by the General Assembly, those who confirmed their consent were added to the Supreme Advisory Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly:

  • Bernard Loze, Vice President of the Franco-Russian Dialogue Association (France);
  • Glazyev Sergey Yurievich, Member of the Board (Minister) for Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC;
  • Dalbir Singh, President of the Foundation for Policy and Governance (India);
  • Mikhailov Sergey Vladimirovich, General Director of the Information Telegraph Agency of Russia (ITAR-TASS);
  • Narochnitskaya Natalia Alekseevna, President of the Historical Perspective Foundation, Doctor of Historical Sciences;
  • Francisco Pinella Corbacho, Rector of the University of Cadiz (Spain)
  • Khalevinsky Igor Vasilievich, Chairman of the Council of the Russian Diplomats’ Association;
  • Erkebaev Abdygany Erkebaevich, Chairman of the Council of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzstan);
  • Yakunin Vladimir Ivanovich, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute.

The General Council elected the Council of Elders of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for the next four years:

  • Augustat Villie, Co-Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, President of the International Association “Peace through Culture. Europe”, co-chairman of the World Forum of Spiritual Culture (Austria);
  • Ageshin Yuri Andreevich, Vice-President of the International Association "Peace through Culture", member of the Presidium of the World Forum of Spiritual Culture, Coordinator of the Public Movement "New Country", Ph.D. (Russia);
  • Savin Alexey Yuryevich, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy, Honorary Doctor of the European University, Lieutenant General (Russia);
  • Suleimenov Olzhas Omarovich, Co-Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, People's Writer of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan);
  • Trubetskoy Alexander Alexandrovich, Co-Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, President of the Franco Russian Alliance Association (France);
  • Fisher Mary Pat, Head of the Department of External Relations of the Gobind Sadan Institute for Advanced Studies in Comparative Religions, member of the presidium of the World Forum of Spiritual Culture, member of the Presidium of the International Association for Peace through Culture, writer (India).

On the initiative of Mr. Francisco Piniella Corbacho, Rector of the University of Cadiz (Spain), it was decided to conclude a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the University of Cadiz to represent the interests of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Spain.
