Issues of Prevention of Terrorism and Extremism discussed in Bashkortostan

On the Solidarity against Terrorism Day, September 3, 2021 in Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan) a round table "Prevention of terrorism and extremism among the youth: new challenges and threats" was held the I. V. Albanov Museum of Polar Explorers

The round table was attended by representatives of the scientific and expert community, public organizations, and government bodies.

In particular, the event was attended by a member of the Public Council of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), head of the center for conciliatory technologies and public interaction of the M. Akmulla BSPU Maxim Belyaev (photo). He made a presentation on "Mediative approach as a preventive measure in the prevention of terrorism and extremism among young people."

During the round table, its participants discussed topical issues of prevention and countering manifestations of extremism and terrorism, shared international, federal and regional experience in countering extremism and terrorism. Particular emphasis in the discussions was placed on counteracting these destructive trends in the youth and digital environment.

At the end of the round table, an action "Candle of Memory" took place on the M. Akmulla Square.

The event was organized by the Interdepartmental Council for Public Security of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Center for Humanitarian Research of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan,the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
