On December 9, the Department of Happiness, together with the Eurasian Tourism Security Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, held the International Conference "World of Happiness" in an online format.

In his welcoming speech, the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Andrei Belyaninov, noted that we now live in a world that lacks happiness. Happiness is something that cannot be touched with your hands, you cannot see with your eyes, but you want to feel with your soul and heart.

“The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly took an example from some countries that have formed Ministries of Happiness, and established the Department of Happiness in 2021 in the hope that we will take care not only of our own happiness, but also of the happiness of all mankind,” - said Andrey Belyaninov.

The conference was attended by representatives of more than 17 countries: Russia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Iceland, France, China, Costa Rica, Uzbekistan, Germany, Italy, USA, Croatia, Switzerland, Peru, Moldova, - representatives of international non-governmental organizations, political and public activists, journalists, members and partners of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

Author and Head of the International Integration Program "CIS + WORLD", Public Ambassador of Happiness of China (2021), author of the world educational projects "Geniuses of the World" and "Geniuses of Eurasia", member of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, author of the project "Happiness of the Peoples of the World" Anastasia Pavlova, Chairperson of the Council for Eurasian Tourism Security, noted that only a happy person can feel absolutely safe: “Security begins in our heads. A person who is in a good, kind mood is not capable of a bad deed. The concept of happiness has truly national significance. The more happy people there are in cities, the happier and stronger the country itself will become. Being happy is not always materially wealthy. Happiness begins with feeling like a happy person who is open to joy, who knows how to tune in to specific tasks and allows himself to perceive reality through the prism of optimism. I am sure that today HAPPINESS can become an interethnic and interstate doctrine that really contributes to the preservation of security in various areas: safe education, safe health care, safe culture, safe sports, safe industry, etc. Our project "Happiness of the Nations of the World" is a unique attempt to describe such a different attitude towards HAPPINESS in all countries of the world and such a similar desire of all peoples of the world to be happy. Happiness is NOW. Now is the time to savor positive news, savor and promote happy examples. Happiness must become contagious. With our conference, we launch an epidemic of happiness around the world. Believe that the epidemic of positives will defeat any negative. "

Dalbir Singh, a member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, noted that happiness is a choice and people who want to be happy should consciously make this choice in favor of happiness every single day. Happy people are not held hostage to their circumstances. Complete empathy requires a conscious decision to choose happiness.

Irina Mersiyanova, director of the Center for Civil Society Research and the Nonprofit Sector at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, noted that, despite the crises, 79%, or every fourth out of five Russians, consider themselves happy to some extent.

The leaders of the Blagosfera center Natalya Kaminarskaya and Elena Temicheva drew attention to the fact that the ability to help is an integral part of happiness. When you share, you enrich yourself.

The following topics were discussed at the conference:

  • Happiness as a form of philosophy of the peoples of the world;
  • How to change attitude towards happiness in the world;
  • How to create and support a community of people, countries that shape happiness around them;
  • What really makes each of us truly happy;
  • Positive changes. How to find a resource for them and get started.

The participants of the international meeting learned about how happiness is treated in different countries, for example, in China and Iceland. Several practical techniques for achieving happiness were shared from practicing psychologists and researchers.

The guests and speakers of the conference noted that throughout the event it was felt that all the people gathered understand the importance of the topic they had gathered for. Many thoughts and topics overlapped with each other. Each speaker complemented the words of the other. The meeting was an important step towards achieving global happiness.
