Ingushetia hosted the qualifying round of the Kobzon International Festival-Competition of the National Patriotic Song "Red Carnation". Talented young performers from Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and the Chechen Republic performed at the stage of the municipal House of Culture in the city of Nazran.
The jury headed by the chairman of the Council of Composers and Musical Figures of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, project manager Andrei Baturin, included the composer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation Oleg Kaledin, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Ingushetia Temerlan Dzeitov, his deputy Aina Ilyasova, poet , writer, painter, laureate of the Ovation and Golden Pen of Russia awards Alexander Shaganov, poet, writer and performer of his own songs, Honored Artist of Russia Simon Osiashvili and Executive Director of the Imperial Russian Ballet Magomed Kulbuzhev.
The festival-competition is held in three nominations - soloists, songwriters and vocal ensembles (duets, trios, vocal groups). This year Ingushetia has joined the festival for the first time.
Andrey Baturin congratulated the laureates who passed the qualifying round and expressed confidence that participation in the festival would be a good incentive for them to reach new heights.
“You are certainly talented and have passed the qualification by right. I wish you creative success and inexhaustible inspiration to continue your life's work - vocal art - at the same level that you showed at the qualifying stage,"- said Andrei Baturin.
On Russia Day, on June 12, in Nazran, the Head of the Republic of Ingushetia Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov awarded the members of the Organizing Committee of the "Red Carnation" competition and its jury with State awards of the Republic of Ingushetia in culture and art. The honorary titles were awarded to the members of the Council of Composers and Musical Workers of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly: Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia - Chairman of the Council, President of the Union of Eurasian Composers, Honorary Art Worker of the City of Moscow, composer Andrei Baturin; People's Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia - Deputy Chairman of the jury of the competition "Red Carnation" Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, composer Oleg Kaledin
Recall that the qualifying rounds of the "Red Carnation" are held in various regions of Russia. The winners of all qualifying rounds will meet in the final, which will be held in Moscow in February next year.

The main goal of the festival is the formation of a respectful attitude towards the Motherland, its history, culture, traditions in the youth environment, the preservation and development of the best traditions of musical art.
The founders of the festival-competition are the Council of Composers and Musical Figures of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the “YunOlimp” Charitable Foundation for the Promotion of Culture and Sports. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
