Svetlana Konstantinovna Smirnova - First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples 'Assembly, Chairman of the Council of the Russian Peoples' Assembly, Doctor of Political Sciences, member of the Council for Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy of the State Duma of the III and IV convocations.

In 2013, she initiated the establishment of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the First Congress of which was held on May 27-29, 2017 in Moscow. Representatives from 66 countries of the continent participated in the Congress.

At the founding meeting of the Eurasian Peoples 'Assembly on May 27, 2017, she was elected First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples' Assembly”.

She is the author and editor of scientific publications on the issues of Eurasian integration, the role of civil society institutions in harmonizing intercultural and interethnic relations, the role of public diplomacy in Eurasian integration, youth policy, interethnic and ethno-state relations.

Svetlana Konstantinovna has extensive experience in realizing projects in the field of humanitarian cooperation, interethnic and intercultural dialogue, public diplomacy and Eurasian integration.
