Expanded Meeting of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly 2021

On January 28, 2021, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly held an Expanded meeting of the General Council.

The meeting was broadcast live on the Assembly's official Facebook account.

The Assembly Secretary General Andrei Belyaninov opened the Extended meeting of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, spoke about the results of the Assembly's activities for 2020 and its plans for 2021. The meeting participants approved the report and considered the plan of the Assembly's activities.

As part of the Expanded meeting, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly signed two cooperation agreements: with the University of Cadiz (Kingdom of Spain) and with the International Union of Charitable and Humanitarian Public Associations “Soviet Peace Fund”. Traditionally, the ceremony of presenting Certificates to new members of the Assembly took place.

During the meeting, it was decided that the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly would be held in the Republic of Bashkortostan in July 2021. A number of new projects of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly were also considered for approval. October 18 will be the Day of Spiritual Harmony of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

Andrey Belyaninov noted that the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly today is in dire need of high-tech solutions for further development. Perhaps, the Assembly will soon announce a competition for a Eurasian technical platform.

At the meeting, it was decided to form the Media Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. In the fall of 2021, it is planned to hold the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Vietnam. Kyrgyz colleagues came up with an initiative to open a Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Kyrgyzstan.
