On May 3, 2023, the Concert Hall of the Moscow State Institute of Culture hosted a Gala concert held as part of the 5th International Competition of Performing Musicians "China and Russia Cup".
Event organizers: Moscow State Institute of Culture; Yanchen State Pedagogical University and the Center for Support of Children and Youth Creativity "FORTE"; with the support of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
The competition has been held annually since 2016 in Russia and China. The competition is traditionally held in the following areas: piano art; orchestral string instruments (violin, cello); academic vocal.
Musicians from China, as well as from the Saratov and Leningrad regions, the Far East, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Crimea and other subjects of the Russian Federation took an active part in the competition.
In addition, students of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, the Moscow State Institute of Culture and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music performed at the evening.
The Gnesins' saxophone ensemble, consisting of students from the People's Republic of China, graced the concert with their performance.
The participants and guests of the competition were welcomed by: and. O. Rector of the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Kudrina; Rector of Yancheng Pedagogical University Zhang Hongru; Director of the Moscow Center for the Study of Chinese Language and Culture, Vice-President of the Shenxi Association of China in Moscow Wang Baoai and People's Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the International Union of Musicians, professor at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory Vladimir Ivanov. The event was also attended by Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation Lu Xiaojun.
The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly was represented by the Head of the Department for Cultural Cooperation Jennet Shamasova. She read out the greetings of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov.
