On May 20, an International Round Table "Eurasian Partnership: New Protocols of Interaction" was held at the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in Moscow (Russia).
The event was attended by the President of the Sadat Academy for Magament Sciences under the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Professor, ex-Minister of Labor of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Nour Nada, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities, Dr. Yasser Allaham, Head of the Department of State and Municipal Management of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Olga Panina, Head of the Center for International Relations of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Samuilich, representatives of the rectorates of Belgorod State Technological University, Volgograd State University, Ryazan State Agrotechnological University and employees of the Department for Sustainable Development of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
The meeting was moderated by the Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Prof. Yulia Petrova.
The meeting was held in a hybrid format. During the meeting, issues of strategic cooperation in the field of education, the creation of double degree programs and student exchange were touched upon. Foreign experts unanimously noted the importance of promoting partnership and friendly relations between the countries of the Middle East and Eurasia. The participants discussed the possibility of opening a Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as holding Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in this country.
It was noted that in the new realities it is necessary to create a Eurasian university rating, and its further expansion to other areas of joint activity. There was also a proposal to search for new approaches to the establishment of Eurasian associations in various sports. All the proposals were actively supported by all the participants.
The discussion was highly appreciated by the participants. The international round table was a logical continuation of the April meeting with partners from the Middle East and North Africa. All the participating parties expressed their insistence on the regular holding of joint events by the Department of Sustainable Development of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly with the expansion of the number of international experts.
