On March 31, 2023, the XXXIX Ceremony of presenting the European Prize "Cape of Circe" - "Il Premio Capo Circeo" for achievements in the field of culture, science and social relations was held in Rome.

It was preceded by a scientific conference held on March 30, 2023 “Peoples of Eurasia and intercontinental relations. Bridges of the Mediterranean: engineering for the sake of uniting peoples”, in which some of the laureates took part.

Elena Repman, a member of the Organizing Committee of the Capo Circeo Prize since 2015, a representative of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Italy, took an active part in organizing and holding the award ceremony.

More than 40 years ago, the award was originated as an award of the Association of German-Italian Friendship, but since then it has been transformed into an award for merit in the field of culture and art, as well as in the field of socially important projects.

“The prize is awarded to those representatives of the Euro-Mediterranean and other peoples who, representing the most diverse professions and types of art, contribute to the establishment of peace and harmony, the construction of a new Europe. The award is a figurine depicting the sorceress Circe, a complex and multi-layered mythological symbol of the origins of the emergence of Western civilization, its movement from East to West. This symbol appeared much earlier than the legend of Homer, and expresses with liveliness and strength the deep connection that unites the shores of European civilization, its origins and its current essence.

The partners of the awards ceremony, organized by the Cape Circe Committee, this year were the Casanatense Library (represented by the director Lucia Marchi), the Armando Editore publishing house (and its permanent President Enrico Jacometti), the eCampus University (represented by the rector Enzo Civiero), the Studio Peres, as well as the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The Capo Circeo 2023 award ceremony was held in one of the most prestigious halls of the Senate of the Italian Republic - Sala Capitolare. The ceremony was broadcast live on television of the Italian Senate. Elena Repman was honored to be present at the table of the Presidium, introduce the partners of the award, talk about the participation and role of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, and also announce the winners of the award.

Representatives of Russia, whose talent and merits were awarded the Capo Circeo award - documentary filmmaker Efim Reznikov (and his film about Galileo Galilei), architect and artist Maxim Atayants (and his works dedicated to the architecture of the Roman Empire, which can be seen in the Hermitage Museum). In 2002, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was awarded the Prize (on behalf of the President, the Prize was received by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Italy and the Republic of San Marino, Nikolai Spassky). In 2023, the statuette will go to the outstanding opera singer, soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Ildar Abdrazakov.
