The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly co-organized the International Conference "Altai Vector of Eurasian Integration"

Delegation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly including the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Svetlana Smirnova, Co-Chair of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Ochirova, Chairman of the Audit Commission of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, member of the International Center for Spiritual Culture Svyatoslav Darnev and Chairman Council for Spiritual Culture of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, a member of the International Center for Spiritual Culture Irina Darneva took part in the International Conference "Altai Vector of Eurasian Integration".

The conference took place on October 7, 2022 in Gorno-Altaisk, Altai Republic, Russia.

Conference organizers: Government of the Republic of Altai, State Duma of the Russian Federation, Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The international conference discussed the topics on the spiritual and environmental security of the Eurasian peoples and Eurasian integration, the actualization of the common cultural and historical heritage, the promotion of historically established socio-cultural models of Eurasianism. Another important topic was the issue of studying related languages ​​of the Altai language family for conducting intercultural dialogue in the interests of solving the pressing problems of spirituality in a wide area of ​​Eurasian peoples.

The Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Ordzhonikidze addressed the conference participants with an opening speech.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the Altai Republic, international non-governmental organizations, as well as cultural and art figures. All those present unanimously confirmed the relevance of the conference and supported the idea of ​​organizing the International Altai Forum.

As part of the event, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly signed a cooperation agreement with the Government of the Republic of Altai (Russia).
