Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and International Centre “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia” signed a Cooperation Agreement

On March 4, 2021, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples' Assembly” and the Non-Commercial Partnership “International Centre for the Development of Socially Significant Projects “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia” signed a cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, and Vladimir Berezovsky, Director of the International Centre “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia”. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Assembly in Moscow.

Under the agreement, the parties consider the possibility of joint implementation of international socially significant programs, projects and cultural and educational events.

In addition, the organizations intend to promote multilateral relations in all spheres of public life, using the unique integration potential of public diplomacy.

The signing ceremony and further meeting were also attended by the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova, members of the Board of Trustees of the International Centre “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia” - Lieutenant General, retired of the Federal Border Service of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kruglov and columnist IIA “Russia Today” Rostislav Ishchenko, Vice President of the Eurasian Aeronautics Centre, Valery Latypov, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat for Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation Irina Polyakova and Head of the Youth Department of the International Centre “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia”, member of the State Duma Council of Youth of the Peoples of Russia Ivan Griva.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an international non-governmental organization aimed at forming a social integration model in the name of establishing peace and harmony through the development of multilateral cooperation and public (people's) diplomacy in the Eurasian space. The International Centre “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia”

The non-profit partnership “International Centre for the Development of Socially Significant Projects “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia” carries out its activities with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The International Centre holds events in culture, education and sports, in particular: grappling competitions, the annual action of the secular and spiritual association of all Orthodox Lavras of Russia and Ukraine - the aeronautical flight “Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia”, events for the spiritual, historical and cultural unity of compatriots of specific territories as part of the celebration of significant historical dates, pilgrimage tours to the Holy Lavras of Orthodox Russia.  In 2020, a part of the International Garden of Peace and Memory of the defenders of the Fatherland – “The Grace Ring” was laid on the territory of the Soykin Shrine.
