The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Business Development Association of Uzbekistan will sign a Cooperation Agreement

On April 27, the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, which is on a working visit to Uzbekistan, held a working meeting with the Association's leadership and representatives at the headquarters of the Business Development Association of Uzbekistan in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

In modern context, business diplomacy is becoming an increasingly dynamic sphere of world politics and plays an important role in ensuring trust and mutual understanding between States and peoples.

The Chairman of the Business Development Association of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of Uzbekistan Mukhtor Umarov and the head of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Assembly Svetlana Smirnova noted a common understanding of the importance of business diplomacy, the development of business cooperation.

The parties discussed issues of further cooperation, in particular, agreed to jointly hold business platforms as part of the planned Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the drive for active further interaction of the Association with members and partners of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, with its specialized councils and projects was mutually noted.

Also, the suggestion of the organization of business diplomacy through the system of chambers of commerce and industry of the Eurasian countries got a positive response.

The meeting resulted in the decision to sign a cooperation agreement between the Business Development Association of Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, which is scheduled for May this year in Tashkent.
