On the sidelines of the XIV International IT-Forum, a working meeting was held between the Governor of Yugra Natalia Komarova and the Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" Andrey Belyaninov.

The Assembly is a strategic partner of the Government of the Autonomous Okrug. Recall that in 2021, the parties entered into an agreement on cooperation in order to develop the trade and economic potential of the region and the countries of Eurasia, as well as to strengthen business and public relations, and develop international communication platforms.

“For us, the opportunities that the region can take advantage of at the Assembly site are of great importance,” the head of the region noted. — At a meeting of the coordinating committee of the representative offices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, a proposal was made to hold the Eurasian Games, Eurasiada, next year in the Autonomous Okrug. We plan to integrate this project into international competitions for the Ugra Governor's Cup in oblas rowing. This is one of the largest and most significant events of the indigenous peoples of the North.”

Andrei Belyaninov drew attention to the fact that the Eurasian Games is a project that is at the stage of practical filling. “At first, these were mainly ethnic sports, then professional athletes were added,” continued the Head of the Assembly. - The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an instrument of public diplomacy. We invite Ugra to take part in the implementation of the project to hold the International Educational Forum "New Generation of Eurasia: Time for Action".

“Based on the geographical location of the region, we are interested in both North-South and East-West connections,” Natalya Komarova concluded.
