On December 22, a press conference dedicated to the premiere of the series of film "In the Footsteps of the Syrian Wise Men" was held at the International Multimedia Center "Russia Today". One of the speakers at the press conference was Yulia Petrova, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
Five episodes of the series of films "In the Footsteps of the Wise Men of Syria" present the ancient culture of this country and the work of archaeologists who are engaged in the restoration of ancient Christian temples dating back to the first two centuries of our era.
The series of films was presented at the International Forum dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. At the International Conference "Problems of Post-Traumatic Recovery of Palmyra" held with the support of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly within the forum, it was decided to cooperate with film director Oksana Matveeva.
The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly considers one of the important areas of its activity to be the preservation of outstanding world cultural and natural attractions that are of universal value and require special protection, including the search for the most effective ways and methods of restoring Palmyra and other world heritage sites on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.
