Dear friends!

On behalf of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, I sincerely congratulate everyone on the holiday of spring - the International Day of Nawruz!

This ancient holiday, coinciding with the spring equinox, is respected in many countries as the beginning of a new annual cycle. For more than six millennia, it has united original traditions and rituals of peoples, celebrating the annual renewal of life, the awakening of nature and the spiritual self-perfecting of a man.

UNESCO has included Nawruz in the list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind. It is internationally recognized as a holiday that strengthens peaceful relations between peoples and countries, popularizes the historical and cultural traditions.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, using the language of public diplomacy, relying on the values of the fraternity of peoples, builds bridges of friendly understanding, spiritual unity, mutual assistance, and consent. Folk wisdom says: “Where there is unity, there is prosperity. We are different, but we are one in respect for the good traditions of our ancestors for the sake of peace and development on earth.” That is what Nowruz calls us too.

The holiday has become an integral part of the cultural and spiritual heritage of mankind. In the days of Nawruz, the link between generations is especially manifested. Manifestations of good neighborliness, hospitality, respect for the elders and kindness to younger ones are respected in every nation.

In our time, the celebration of Nawruz has been enriched with new content. In all corners of the Earth, people are united in the desire to preserve peace, save the planet from pollution, climate change, hunger and other negative factors.

One of the main tasks of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is to support and preserve the spiritual and moral values common to all mankind. The unifying force of the International Day of Nowruz confirms that the world, as before, needs love and hope.

May this bright holiday further strengthen and enrich our friendship!
