Conference “Meeting on the Elbe-75” will be Held in Online Format

The date of the conference is April 24, 2020.

The organizers of the conference “Meeting on Elbe-75” decided to transfer the event to an online format. This was announced today, on April 3, following an online meeting of the international organizing Committee of the project.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to those who have already confirmed the participation in the conference (Russia, Germany, America, India, France) and invited representatives of China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Mongolia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries to join the online conference.

“The program of events and projects devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Victory remains a priority on the agenda of the Assembly, despite the coronavirus pandemic", - said Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.  The Assembly is a co-organizer of the conference dedicated to the historic meeting on the Elbe.

“The American side is ready for an open dialogue on holding all events related to our common history and problems in any format”, - said Eduard Lozansky, President of the American University in Moscow.

Representatives of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the International Council of Russian Compatriots, the American University in Moscow, the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, the International Center for Public Diplomacy of NRNU MEPhI, and the team of Moscow’s military historical reenactors took part in the meeting to prepare the “Meeting on the Elbe-75” conference.

It was announced that the online cinema “VICTORIOUS TOGETHER” will soon be launched.  “The best films of the eponymous festival will be shown in this online cinema, including the film" Meeting on the Elbe”, – said Valery Ruzin, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, General producer of the Sevastopol International Festival of Documentaries and TV programs “VICTORIOUS TOGETHER”.
