The Chairman of the Arctic Council presented a Successful Case at the International Forum “Ecology of a Big City” in St. Petersburg

Marina Minina, Chairperson of the Arctic Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and Vice President of the Arctic Academy of Sciences, presented the report “Best environmental practices of municipalities of St. Petersburg” to the participants of the “Ecology of a Big City” Forum.

The discussion took place on March 24 within the conferences of the Forum “Ecology of the urban environment, creative industry: successful international experience in solving environmental problems. Applied practice in the Russian Federation ”.

The motto of the international forum: “Ecology - a look into the future!” Over one and a half thousand people attended the event. The business program featured speakers from Finland, Slovakia, France, South Korea, and Japan. Russia was represented by 40 regions. Using successful cases, the speakers told the Forum participants about specific examples that they could use in their work in the future.

Recall, for the first time in Moscow and St. Petersburg the Arctic Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Arctic Academy of Sciences will hold the V International Arctic Summit “Arctic and Shelf Projects: Prospects, Innovation and Development of Regions” (Arctic - 2021 SPb ) on May 26 - 28, 2021.
