Central Asian Forum for the Sustainable Development of Mountain Ecosystems "Ensuring Food Security - Experience, Achievements, Prospects" – Outcomes

2022 is a special year, on December 16, 2021, on the initiative of Kyrgyzstan, the participants of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a Resolution declaring 2022 the International Year of Mountain Development.

As part of the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development, on October 4, 2022, the National Library of Kyrgyzstan hosted the opening of the Central Asian Forum for the Sustainable Development of Mountain Ecosystems “Ensuring Food Security - Experience, Achievements, Prospects”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Hero of Socialist Labor Korchubek Aknazarov.

The forum was organized by:

  • Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Eurasian Peoples' Assembly;
  • Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan;
  • Assembly of Peoples of Russia.

The purpose of the forum is to unite the efforts of the educational, scientific and practical communities of Kyrgyzstan and other mountainous countries of Central Asia, using the experience of past generations, modern technologies to develop common constructive solutions for the formation of agricultural cooperation zones, the establishment of agricultural scientific and technical contacts, the achievement of collective and national food security.

Forum tasks:

  • to formulate the main areas of innovative development of mountain ecosystems in Kyrgyzstan and other countries of Central Asia;
  • create agricultural cooperation zones in Central Asia, establish agricultural scientific and technical contacts;
  • increase the role of public administration and regulation in the transformation of food systems and the achievement of the goals of sustainable development of mountain ecosystems;
  • discuss modern problems of inter-farm and international cooperation and the main ways of its development to ensure food security;
  • to analyze the state and determine the main areas of the spiritual and moral development of young people as the basis for the sustainable development of mountain ecosystems, health and well-being of people.

The forum opened with a youth discussion “The Values ​​of Human Life in the Conditions of Society Transformation”, organized by ADAM University, Iskhak Rozzakov Kyrgyz Technical University and the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The discussion was moderated by Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Mikhail Fedorov and Vice-Rector of ADAM University Gulnara Batyrkanova.

Before the discussion, the participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Hero of Socialist Labor Korchubek Aknazarov. The exhibition was opened by the daughter of Korchubek Aknazarov, Roza Aknazarova, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the 2nd and 5th convocations, ex-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Economist of the Kyrgyz Republic. Rosa Korchubekovna spoke about her father's life path. A documentary film about Korchubek Aknazarov "My University of Life" was demonstrated.

The disclosure of the theme of the meaning and value of human life was continued by Ulugbek Maratov, Chairman of the Marat Alyshpaev Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art, son of the great artist of Kyrgyzstan Marat Alyshpaev.

There was a demonstration of the feature film "Road to Eden" ("AKYRKY KECH").

The discussion “The Values ​​of Human Life in the Conditions of Society Transformation” was opened by Alexander Knyazev, Director of the Institute for Global Education and Development, Ph.D., professor, specialist in psychological expertise and diagnostics.

The forum was also attended by Asyl Bolponova, Professor of the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of History; Emir Dzhorupekov, student of KSTU. I. Razzakova, and others.

The participants of the discussion proposed to establish centers for personal development (professional diagnostics) for young people in Kyrgyzstan with the assistance of the Institute of Global Education and Development. According to the participants, this will allow a person to make the right choice when determining the direction of vocational training, to significantly increase the level of self-realization, his dedication in society.
