Bashkortostan hosted a Grappling Championship for the Prizes of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Member Jeff Monson

Ufa (Bashkortostan, Russia) hosted a master class and republican competitions in wrestling grappling for the cup of 10-time world champion in grappling, member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Jeffrey William Monson.

The tournament brought together more than 300 participants from Bashkortostan, the Chelyabinsk region (Satka), the cities of Tolyatti, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Naberezhnye Chelny.

The event was initiated by Jeff Monson himself with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan, wrestling federations of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Bashkortostan (Russia).

The Opening ceremony was attended by guests of honor: Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, President of the Wrestling Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alan Marzaev, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan Artem Novikov, head of the grappling department of the Olympic Reserve School for wrestling of the Republic of Bashkortostan Maxim Ball, Vice President of the Federation of grappling of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ullubiy Kagirgadzhiev, curator of the All-Russian Wrestling Federation of grappling of the Republic of Bashkortostan Arsen Zinatullin, Director of the Wrestling Federation of grappling of the Republic of Bashkortostan Irik Mustafin, Deputy of the urban district of Tuymazy Andrey Chernykh.

In the team competition, the prizes were distributed as follows: 1st place - State Budgetary Institution Sports School of the Olympic Reserve, 2nd place – “Yakuza” Martial Arts Academy, 3rd place - Fight Club "Fighter".

It should be noted that the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) regularly provides organizational support and takes part in regional and international sports events. In particular, it supports such disciplines as boxing, grappling, chess, football. In 2022, the Committee for the Development of Non-Olympic and National Sports was formed as part of the Representative Office. Also, among members of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly from Bashkortostan there are eminent and titled athletes and coaches of the republic.
