Assembly's Information Partner held an International Meeting on the Development of Regional Tourism between Russia and Kazakhstan

On February 5, in Astrakhan, an International Expert meeting “Opportunities for regional cooperation in the implementation of tourism projects in the Caspian Sea” took place in Astrakhan.

The organizer is the Centre for International and Socio-Political Research “Caspian - Eurasia”, an information partner of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. The event is supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan and the Agency for International Relations of the Astrakhan Region.

Representatives of state authorities, tourism business, media and civil sector of Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the Astrakhan-Kazakhstan teleconference. The topic of tourism cooperation turned out to be the most relevant in the current “post-covid” period, when the tourism cluster, in conditions of closed borders, shifted the focus of development to inland territories.
