Andrey Belyaninov took part in the General Meeting of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO

On December 20, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov spoke at the regular General Meeting of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. The meeting was held at the GlavUpDK Cultural Center under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

The event was attended by heads of relevant Russian ministries and departments, heads of subjects of the Federation, representatives of business circles, prominent figures in education, science, culture, journalism and sports of our country.

Sergey Lavrov presented a report on the current state of cooperation between Russia and UNESCO. In particular, the Minister positively noted held in December in St. Petersburg and Kazan of the International Forum dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, in which the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly took an active part.

The General Meeting of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO agreed on the main areas of activity for 2023.
