Today, June 22, on the day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, members, partners, friends of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly traditionally hold an International Commemorative Action. At about 4 am Moscow time, the participants of the action in their countries, cities and villages lit candles, laid flowers, read poems and sang songs from the times of the Great Patriotic War at memorials or monuments where war heroes are buried.

“June 22 is a day of sorrow for all sane humanity,” believes Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly. - Today, when individual attempts are being made to rewrite history to suit their dubious political interests, the public around the world is increasingly involved in preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War and World War II. The activities of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly aimed at preserving historical justice, actions like the one that the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly holds annually on the Day of Memory and Sorrow, become a reliable barrier to those who are trying to rewrite history, rehabilitate Nazism and denigrate the Great Victory of the Soviet people and all countries and peoples – the victors over Nazism.”
