Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrey Belyaninov announced a new stage in the development of the organization at an Expanded meeting of the General Council Presidium held in Sevastopol on September 4, 2020.

In particular, he said: “People's diplomacy plays an important role in ensuring trust between States and peoples, in finding ways of peaceful settlement of responses to new challenges. Therefore, the modern world is increasingly encouraging the international community to organize joint platforms for creative and business meetings, for open dialogue and exchange of experience. Our numerous meetings, negotiations, and trips to different countries show great interest in the idea of Eurasian integration.

At the first stage of development, the Assembly's activities were mostly focused on bringing together active citizens and international public figures. The next stage should be to establish the diplomatic role of non-governmental organizations in the formation of a multipolar world, and to unite public organizations in different countries that represent the interests of their peoples.

Therefore, we invited both government representatives and the local public to our meeting in Crimea. Our common task is to establish the community of peoples as a new form of self-organization of the world based on the principle of unity of the socio-cultural, economic and geopolitical space.”

The place and time of the meeting were not coincidental. From August 27 to September 6, the Crimean land hosted a series of international events with the participation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
