MOSCOW. On May 23, a cooperation agreement between the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" and the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans "Russian Union of Veterans" was signed at the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Moscow.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov and the Chairman of the Russian Union of Veterans, Colonel-General Vitaly Azarov.

“I am very grateful to you that you took the first step towards. One of the tasks that we face is to ensure stability and preserve historical memory,” said the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

Andrei Belyaninov drew attention to the great influence of information of a destructive nature on the minds of young people. “In this regard, today it is easy to stray into negative rhetoric,” Andrey Yuryevich emphasized and noted that one of the tasks of the overall activity under the agreement is to minimize such an impact.

“When the issue of our Eurasian component arose, we came to the conclusion that we are united by good common principles we can rely on, and our veterans. We are very pleased that we are talking today about the association of veterans who have dispersed to different "national apartments". The common memory is very important to us, and today we are all faithful to the traditions, it cannot be otherwise. The Victory Parade in Moscow demonstrated this once again. If we develop a specific line of conduct based on common values, then our common deeds will give us the right to say after a while that we have done everything that depends on us at a particular historical moment,” said Colonel-General Vitaly Azarov, Chairman of the Russian Union of Veterans and expressed confidence that the agreement would grow with good and kind deeds.

The parties agreed, in an effort to strengthen friendship and partnership between the peoples of different countries, to promote the strengthening of peace and security of peoples, the development of comprehensive cooperation and international relations based on the norms of international law, to promote the formation of a high patriotic consciousness among the younger generation, to promote the establishment of high moral and spiritual values, the preservation and increase the glorious military, military and labor traditions of older generations, promote the preservation and approval of the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War, refutation of the falsification of history, maintain the continuity of the best patriotic, moral, interethnic, cultural traditions, promote work to perpetuate the memory and proper maintenance of memorials, monuments, exchange experiences, provide organizational and informational support to events organized by both parties.
